The Bremont Jaguar MK1

Bremont Jaguar MKI and Jaguar MKII

The Engineer II Green Berets

Bringing their shared British heritage to the fore, Bremont unveiled two new watches created in partnership with carmaker Jaguar. The collection is a continuation of a six-piece series that Bremont released in the summer to match six “continuation” E-Type automobiles that Jaguar built to the specifications of the brand’s Lightweight E-Type model from 1964. The watches were initially made to complement the cars, but the new MKI and MKII is available to all and will also be offered at more accessible price points. While the limited edition series was made from white gold and aluminium, the MKI and MKII come in stainless steel. Inspired by the car’s dashboard, the watches feature railroad minutes tracks with steel hands. The MKI has a small seconds counter while the MKII is a chronograph, and both have a date window at 6 o’clock. A red area beneath 3 o’clock on the MKI and in the running seconds sub-dial on the MKII represents the red zone on the E-Type’s tachymeter.

Ball Watch Engineer II Green Berets

"The green beret is a symbol of excellence, a badge of courage, a mark of distinction in the fight for freedom," said American President John F Kennedy in a speech he gave in 1960s. Since then, the green beret has been used by the United States Army Special Forces, given to British Royal marines who pass the All Arms Commando course. Ball Watch brings excellence in combat to a robust watch, the Engineer II Green Berets. The timepiece is simple yet sturdy, with a 43mm titanium carbide case housing an automatic movement. In keeping with Ball Watch’s trademarks, the piece is shock resistant to 5,000Gs, anti-magnetic to 4,800 A/m and features a dial and hands with micro tubes of luminescent H3 gas to allow for legible reading even in total darkness, a technology that allows for the markers to emit luminous energy for at least 25 years without ever needing an external source of light. The tubes used on the indexes of the Green Berets are three times wider than those used in majority of the Ball Watches.
