Video - Jason Hak at the UBS Hong Kong Open
Insightful video on Jason Hak, created at the UBS Hong Kong Open 2011
In this great video by GolfingWorld, local hero Jason Hak comes across as a quiet spoken, well mannered young man, a credit to Hong Kong.
In a wide-ranging feature, we hear him describe his short game as "Terrible!" just before we see him holing his bunker shot on 16 for a birdie! He also warmly thanks the sponsors, tour and HKGA for his invitation to play and describe what it means to compete at the highest level whilst still an amateur. He lists "Mr Hogan, Mr Nicklaus", Tiger and Rory as his heroes, before talking about his hopes for the future.
He hopes to one day becoming a touring pro and play in the Presidents Cup, and his current #1 position in the US Junior rankins and his win in the 2011 Rolex Tournament of Champions gives us a clear indication that he could do so. Previous winners include Phil Mickleson, David Duval and Charles Howell.
The video also gives us a chance to check out the Jason Hak swing. Beautiful tempo, and an amazingly short backswing given he hits the ball prodigious distances.
All in all a first class profile of Jason Hak, a first class player and surely a star in the near future.
