EFG Presents Ernie Watts
Hosted by Albert Chiu, Chief Executive Officer, EFG Bank Asia, cocktails were followed by dinner and an outstanding evening of jazz. Highlight was the appearance of multiple Grammy award winning Watts, a legendary figure whose resume reads like a who’s who of the music scene. As well as playing with many of the leading jazz musicians of his generation, Watts has also appeared with the Rolling Stones, Buddy Rich, Frank Sinatra, Marvin Gaye and even Frank Zappa as well as featuring on movie soundtracks from Grease to The Color Purple.
Supported by the superb trio of Jeremy Monteiro (keyboards), Christy Smith (bass) and Shawn Kelley (drums), the attendees were treated to some exceptional sax playing from Ernie, before Albert rounded off the evening by announcing that EFG Bank have once again been voted Best Pure Play Private Bank in Asia.
