Ryder Cup 2010 - Pot of Gold

A rainbow appears over the Twenty Ten Course on day three of the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales.

The 2010 edition of the biennial matches was the longest in history – with the event extended into Monday for the very first time due to heavy rain on day one. It was also one of the closest. Colin Montgomerie's European side, leading by three points heading into the singles session, finally prevailed by 14 1/2 points to 13 1/2 following a rousing comeback by Corey Pavin's United States team. The 2012 Ryder Cup will be played at Medinah Country Club in Chicago from September 25-30.
