Simulator Golf Practice Pays Off for Kitty

Hong Kong international Kitty Tam has been taking some of her practice indoors this summer by playing in a weekly tournament at GreenLive, the golf simulator club which has branches in Lai Chi Kok and Kwun Tong ... and it seems to be paying off.

HONG KONG, 1 July 2015, (HK Golfer News Wire) - Tam, who recently graduated from Diocesan Girls' School, claimed an emphatic victory at the third leg of the HKPGA's Order of Merit at the end of June. Posting rounds of 72 and 73 over the scenic layout at Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club, the 18-year-old, who will continue her education at San Diego State University this autumn, finished eight shots ahead of professional Vicki Ho and fellow amateur Mimi Ho.

Clearwater Bay's resident professional Grant Gibson claimed the men's division with scores of 71 and 68 to finish one shot ahead of Wong Woon-man. Dominique Boulet, who is heading to England this month in a bid to qualify for the Senior Open Championship, placed third, a further shot back.
