PALM SPRINGS, 21 July 2016, (HK Golfer News Wire) – Led by national coach Brad Schadewitz, HKGA squad members Leon D’Souza and Virginie Ding claimed runners-up in the 15-18 age groups.

Leon played three steady rounds of golf, with scores of 70-71-70 to sign off at a total of five-under 211, losing only by one stroke to Tommy Stephenson from the United States. Leon caught 11 birdies in total on the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club.

In the girls 15-18 age division, Virginie had a shaky start of three-over 73 that included five bogeys on the Westin Mission Hills Pete Dye Course. She fought back on the second day with a 71, and caught 5 birdies in the final round for a 67, thereby forcing a playoff with Sofia Chabon from the Philippines. Sofia won the two-hole playoff and Virginie settled for second place.
