Final Shot with Bubba Watson

The world number four talked to Alex Jenkins at the Thailand Golf Championship about winning the Masters, his philosophy on junior golf and why he'd quit playing if he was ever ranked the best player in the game

You've got two Green Jackets in your wardrobe but what's it like living your life safe in the knowledge that regardless of what happens in the future, you'll always be known as a Masters champion?

It's very cool. Winning the first was a dream come true. Winning one is pretty crazy so to win two is just unbelievable. It still hits home whenever I hear myself being described as the Masters champion. I love it.

Away from golf, you're well known for your charity work and have your own foundation that raises significant amounts of money. What causes are particularly close to your heart?

Kids, junior golf, hunger – really anyone in need. But kids to me are very important. My wife and I weren't able to have children and we have adopted two kids of our own. But we believe very strongly that everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

2016 is a very big year with the Olympics and also the Ryder Cup. How motivated are you by these two events?

They're both very exciting. The USA is very deep [in world-class players] so I'm going to have to play very good golf to get in to both. But I'm very motivated by the Olympics and I'm very motivated by the Ryder Cup. The bigger an event is the more motivation I have. I always have two goals at the beginning of a season – to win a trophy and to make either the Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup team. For 2016 I'll have three, with the Olympics too.
