Le Grand Day of Indulgence
HK Golfer joined 50 other participants for an extraordinary day of wine tasting and socialising at the Independent Wine Centre's (IWC) "Le Grand Day of Indulgence", held at the Grand Hyatt. As detailed in our August issue, the event, which took place on September 18, featured a stunning range of over 30 wines, including a magnificent 1986 Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Chateau d'Yquem (including a 1962 vintage), legendary champagnes and many others. The tastings were led by Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve, two of the most respected French wine experts and authors of Le Grand Guide de Vins de France and IWC Director Simon Tam. The highlight was the vertical tasting of Chateau Mouton Rothschild guided by Chateau owner Mr Philippe Sereys de Rothschild and Commercial Director Mr. Hervé Berland. - CM
