MercedesTrophy Asian Final Review

The MercedesTrophy Asian Final 2015 was held successfully in mid-August at Sanctuary Cove Golf Club, Gold Coast, Australia. After a two-day tournament, Kevin Wong stood victorious among the seven Hong Kong representatives with a total score of 73 stableford points

The eligible Mercedes-Benz owner that will represent Hong Kong to compete in the MercedesTrophy World Final 2015 in early October in Stuttgart, Germany is Derik Leung.

The seven Hong Kong representatives all qualified through the ‘Road to the MercedesTrophy Hong Kong 2015’, a co-operation between Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Ltd. and its partner, the Hong Kong Golf Association. The climax of this new qualifying format was the MercedesTrophy Hong Kong 2015 on 26 June 2015 at the Hong Kong Golf Club.

Nine Asian countries joined the MercedesTrophy Asian Final 2015 including: Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Vietnam and Sri Lanka. The two-day tournament was held at the two internationally renowned golf courses, the Pines and the Palms, in Sanctuary Cove Golf Club. Besides the tournament, practice sessions with golf pros were arranged for the golfers to enhance their game. Furthermore, the participants attended the Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy at Mt Cotton Training Centre where they experienced different Mercedes-Benz models both on and off-road under the guidance of professional instructors.
